DateGuard.AI ("we," "us," or "our") is operated by Data Specialists Group LLC. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application and web services.

1. Information We Collect

Identity Verification Data

DateGuard uses advanced liveness detection (powered by Facia.ai) to verify that you are a real person. During the verification process, your device camera captures a brief selfie for liveness analysis. Your selfie is used solely for real-time liveness detection and is permanently deleted immediately after the check completes. We do not store, save, or retain any facial images or biometric identifiers.

Voice Analysis Data (Vocal Sync™)

For users who opt in to Vocal Sync™, DateGuard uses voice analysis technology provided by Emotion Logic Ltd. to assess vocal expressiveness during a brief voice sample. Voice recordings are processed in real time and are never stored. Only an aggregate expressiveness score is retained. No voice recordings, voiceprints, or speaker identification data is stored on our servers or your device. This feature is informational and for entertainment purposes only — it is not a lie detector or diagnostic tool.

Verification Results

We store only the result of your identity verification (verified or not verified) along with a timestamp. No facial images, biometric templates, or personally identifiable biometric data is retained.

Device Information

We may collect basic device information (device type, operating system version) to ensure compatibility and troubleshoot issues. This data is anonymized and not linked to your identity.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To perform identity verification via liveness detection
• To provide voice expressiveness analysis via Vocal Sync™ (with explicit user consent)
• To display your verification status within the app
• To improve our service through anonymized, aggregate analytics

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party service to provide identity verification:

• Facia.ai: Provides the liveness detection technology used during identity verification. Facia processes the camera feed in real time to confirm you are a live person. Facia does not retain your facial data after the check completes. See Facia.ai Privacy Policy.
• Emotion Logic Ltd.: Provides the voice analysis technology used in Vocal Sync™. Emotion Logic processes a brief voice sample in real time to generate an expressiveness score. Voice data is not retained after processing. See Emotion Logic Privacy Policy.

We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS/SSL) and secure infrastructure. Since we do not store facial images or biometric identifiers, there is minimal personal data at risk.

5. Data Retention

Facial images captured during liveness detection are processed in real time and permanently deleted immediately — they are never stored on our servers. Verification results (pass/fail status and timestamp) are retained to maintain your verification badge.

6. Biometric Data

DateGuard.AI processes facial imagery for liveness detection. This may constitute biometric data processing under applicable privacy laws including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA).

• What we process: A real-time camera feed during the liveness check; for Vocal Sync™ users, a brief voice sample
• How it is processed: Facia.ai analyzes the camera feed to confirm you are a live person (not a photo, video replay, or digitally manipulated image). Emotion Logic Ltd. analyzes the voice sample to generate an expressiveness score. Neither service retains raw data after processing.
• Retention: Facial images are never stored. They are processed in real time and immediately discarded
• No biometric database: We do not create or maintain a database of biometric identifiers

Legal Basis for Processing: We process biometric data based on your explicit consent, which you provide before the verification begins.

7. Your Data Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

• Right of Access: Request information about what data we hold about you
• Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Right to Withdraw Consent: You may withdraw your consent to biometric data processing at any time by contacting us

8. Children’s Privacy

DateGuard.AI is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes through the app or via email.
